Creating Your Selling Yourself Station

First and foremost; take the time to evaluate your current surroundings and situations. Seriously... Open your eyes to the walls that surround you and ask yourself, "should I even be in this room?" Whether the room is filed with cubicles or your dirty laundry, you really must look around and see if there are ways to improve it. Ask your boss to move you to a different desktop. If you are the boss, see if there is another room or space you can convert into your new selling yourself station. Once you get there, you will know every time thereafter why you are there.

This is a very important step whether you think so or not. With no change, things simply stay the same. A change of area or scenery can be a significant morale boost. The same goes for changing your brand names, designs, websites, etc. It helps you start understanding that something big is happening and it is time to start cultivating what that happening will become.

Surround your new selling yourself station with some pictures, moving and encouraging paintings, maybe even remodeling a little. I am serious. I love the heavy rock and roll, and I don't get too excited when I see flowers. However, there is nothing like an awesome picture hanging up, or some art or craft one of my children created that I have plastered across my wall to help boost morale and create substance for why I go on another day.
